A lot of people know The Stockroom mainly for the stuff that we sell online. That’s not unfair; since one of our biggest claims to fame is that when Joel Tucker started the company in 1988, he broke new ground by taking his business online. The Stockroom was the first sex toy company on the Internet, and 28 years later, we’re still here.
But we do a lot of great stuff in the real world, too, and if you’re in the Los Angeles Area, this weekend is a great opportunity to come and see us doing our best work in the latex-and-leather-clad-flesh. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we’re having our first rummage sale of 2016 today and tomorrow.
Our rummage sales have become legendary among Los Angeles kinksters. When most people have a rummage sale, they bring out obsolete stereo and video equipment, old board games, and that ugly piece of china that some distant relative gave as a present three or four holidays ago. When we do it, it’s a prime opportunity to find some of the sexiest, most imaginative toys and BDSM gear around for amazing prices.
If you love latex and leather, this is the perfect time for you to come out and look at clothes from Syren and Stormy Leather that are in perfect shape and sexy as hell, but for some reason just didn’t find a home before now. Happy post-Thanksgiving day to everyone. We hope that you spent the holiday safe, warm, and well-fed with your families (biological, leather, or otherwise), and that today the tryptophan coma has worn off into a pleasant, satisfied afterglow.
Most of us at The Stockroom had great times with our loved ones, but there’s no time to bask in that afterglow; the passing of Thanksgiving means that we’re now entering the final stages of our Black/Cyber Sale, which ends on Tuesday, December 1. This week is a great one for fans of animal roleplay.
First of all, you may have noticed our Dog and Pony Sale going on right now. Tomorrow, the Antebellum Gallery in Hollywood is going to kick off their own Dog & Pony Show. Artists like Michael Manning, Dorian Katz, Victor Lightworship, and Rick Castro will be showing their own visions of dog and pony play fetishes through photography, painting, sculptures, and other mediums.
Featured in the main window of the gallery will be a installation created on-location by Midori, one of Stockroom’s favorite educators. She visited us just last weekend to present two workshops at Stockroom University, and if you’ve been watching her Twitter and Instagram feeds, you’ve already gotten a few glimpses of her work in progress. She’s using flowers on a wire frame to create a statue of Anubis, the jackal-headed god of the dead in Egyptian mythology, and it just gets more impressive the closer to completion it gets. The shots below will give you an idea of where it’s going, including a view of Anubis’s heart and digestive tract.

What is National Kink Month?
October 2013 is the second annual National Kink Month: A 31 day celebration of kinky sex, fetishes, and those who have them!
