History
Our company was founded by Joel Tucker (JT) in 1988, when he was a 21-year-old kinky college student on a budget. A trip to a local adult toy store in search of affordable and functional bondage restraints revealed the unmet need for quality BDSM gear at a fair price. Joel took up leatherwork, designing many of the basic leather wrist cuffs, ankle cuffs, harnesses, etc that are still among the best-selling items in our catalog today.
In 1989, Joel began experimenting with internet marketing (then an underground concept) using his college email address. In 1990, his first text-based electronic catalog was circulated, and the internet has been our primary market ever since.
Today, we employ 50+ people in Los Angeles in our 30,000 square foot Los Angeles workshop and offices. We still design and manufacture our Stockroom, Syren Latex, and Stormy Leather gear and clothing right here, maintaining our impeccable quality standards at competitive prices while many other companies have gear and toys cheaply made overseas.
