We’re midway through Movember Prostate Week, and while we’ve covered prostate toys, and an introduction to prostate play, we wanted to take a moment to talk about the elephant in the room: Prostate Cancer.
According to statistics compiled by the American Cancer Society, approximately 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime. Although that’s a fairly daunting statistic, the survival rates for men diagnosed at any stage of prostate cancer progression range from 93-99% over a 5 to 15 year period following diagnosis. The best course of treatment begins with early detection, so if you’re a man over 40, make sure you are getting regular prostate exams.
