In just one year with The Stockroom, Head Mistress Hudsy Hawn has brought Sex Positive education to a whole new level. With classes now happening on a weekly basis, The Stockroom University has more than tripled its attendance and has brought the “Think Kink” slogan back into the Stockroom Hall. Education is essential to maintaining an imaginative and ethical kink community, and the quality of workshops that Hudsy has brought into Stockroom Hall on a regular basis makes us extremely proud to have her on our team.
To wrap up the year, Hudsy has created an event called “KinkFit!” which brings together several of the community’s finest sex educators to give live demonstrations of their favorite kinds of play, all within a short and sweet circuit-training style format.
“This was just an idea that popped into my head recently, and I thought it would be a great way close out such a successful year,” Hudsy says. “Almost all 52 weeks we’ve had an event so I wanted to give a little “smorgasbord of kink” to everyone as a thank you to all of our loyal students and esteemed teachers. We’ll also be giving away raffle prizes and something special to those certain people who have attended and invested in the most classes.”
Where most workshops and classes focus on specific kinds of play or fetishes, “KinkFit!” is a great chance for attendees to sample a wide range of practices that fall under the “kink” umbrella. According to Hudsy, “We’re going to do an hour and a half class where students are allowed and encouraged to go all over the room as if in a lab at school, so you can visit each corner and each teacher and learn what they’re doing. So in one corner, we’re going to have implement use, another corner will be medical, another corner will be rope bondage, and so on, so many different aspects will be available, and you can pretty much bounce all over the room while getting a taste of BDSM in some of the different ways we choose to explore it.”

Mistress Bettie Bondage: Despite her name, Bettie Bondage is going to be showing off a different aspect of herself at “KinkFit!”– Her love of medical play.
Mistress Kara, known to us here as the acting manager of our Syren Boutique, will be demonstrating the joys of over-the-knee (OTK) spanking.
Sir Rucifer, a part-time Stockroom University Co-Host and one of the Stockroom Dungeon Experience Resident Doms at Exxxotica, will show off highlights from his recent Positions and Protocols class.
Sir Nik Satanas, a Syren Boutique sales associate and 30-year veteran of the BDSM scene, is going to show attendees the pleasures of impact play, especially different ways to spank various parts of the body.
Entropy, perhaps most well-discussed for inventing the Florentine flogging method, is going to do what he does best: Show us how to build flogging skills.
Nikki Nefarious will demonstrate rope bondage techniques, something she’s extremely famous for. YOU may have seen her talents in a certain Rihanna video, “S & M.”
“KinkFit!” is based on the idea of a mental training circuit at a gym, so it’s a very interactive experience where attendees are encouraged to jump in and participate, instead of sitting and watching a lecture. “People are encouraged to join in and get feedback on their skills,” Hudsy says. “With Medical Play we’re going to be more careful and selective about who’s allowed to participate. It’s more of a viewing. But for everything else, everyone is welcome to bring their own floggers and ropes — kneepads if they want to do position work with Sir Rucifer — it’s a very interactive experience. And above all, we wish to remind all of our attendees that BDSM scenes should never be rushed. Safe, sane and consensual play is always the most important rule of thumb. This crash course in BDSM is meant as an entertainment event and nothing should ever take priority over taking your time and using patience and safety when pursuing your training and education throughout your personal kink journey.”
Hudsy already has several new classes and events booked to start 2016 off with a bang (or perhaps a crack and a squeal), but if you’ve been relishing the Stockroom University classes she’s presented in the last year, “KinkFit!” should be the perfect way to close out the old year and perhaps find a few new things to explore in the new year.
